Crazy Ryan

A few days ago we left to run some errands. I opened the garage to leave and Ryan did this...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

img_title
We had a great Halloween! We spent the morning at the school parade.

Then off to WM to get last minute things and a bit of trick or treating. Then back to the house to carve pumpkins (yah last min I know...) But they turned out AWESOME!!!

I decided this year to have an open house every year. We had hot chocolate, hot apple cider and donuts. It was way fun and gave moms and dads a time to rest and, toward the end of the evening, get warm. I got 16 dz donuts and went through more then half. Not bad for a first year! I am sure more people will come next year. I got nothing but compliments. I'm so glad it turned out!

I was so proud of my decorations too! All the kids thought it was spooky.

Well it was a fun filled day at the Eames house today.

Ryan got a new haircut. There was a little boy under that mop!

Then Lunch time came. Ryan wanted to make his own sandwich so then of course did Brynn. Amazingly enough no one got covered in PB this time!

Later on in the day I came upstairs to find these 2 on my bed.....

So cute huh?!

I should have taken it earlier. The snow was half melted....

Bear Lake 2007

Well I should have done this post before the one about Ry but for some reason I thought I already had posted about it....

We went to Bear Lake with friends of ours the Marshes. Chris used to work with Joe now they work for each other. His wife Lindsay is my friend. Kaitlyn is 10 and she and Katya are friends. Taylor and Taylor are best buds. Their Tay is 6. Brendan is 4 and Brynn and him and Ry play very well together. Our families are a perfect fit!

We used bonus time for our timeshare up there and got 2 condos for our families. Most of the time was spent in our condo. We all arrived around 7pm on Friday. I got a quick dinner done. After dinner Joe and Chris and the kids all took turns playing guitar hero. The younger ones ran around, played games and colored and got into the candy that was out. At one point Ryan and Brendan escaped and were running around the complex.

Shortly after that there was a loud knocking at the door. (had to be loud we had guitar hero on)
Joe went to see what kid had gotten out this time only it wasn't a kid. It was one of the people from the main desk! He asked if someone from this room called 911!!! So we turn off the game and start hounding all the kids. I went upstairs to get Ryan and Brendan and there was Ryan pushing all the buttons on the phone!!!!!!! Needless to say he got his hand smacked real good. After that we decided it was time for bed...

Next day we went swimming, the kids did a craft after lunch at the main office. After we headed out to the lake to play in the sand and collect seashells. Before we left we talked to the people about the best beach place to go for sand. She told us that at the marina we could feed fish. So we headed there first. We walked along the dock but only saw one fish. As we were leaving one of the kids saw another fish. Ryan went to see it and tripped on a rope and nearly fell in the lake!!!!!! We got out of there and went to the beach.

We had great weather. It was a bit windy so kind of chilly but the sun was out. The kids collected a huge bucket full of seashells. They were so happy.

We went out for pizza for dinner and got ice cream to take back with us then played games til the kids were so tired they were trying to kill each other.

Sunday morning we packed up and left. We caravaned through the canyon. We stopped at a spring in Logan canyon and took tons of pics. We went further on and stopped at a campground for lunch. It was beautiful with all the leaves changing color... so pretty.

We had so much fun we have decided to make this an annual trip!

(I will add pics later...)

When we split up in Logan we went to visit my brother Bradley and his wife Janelle and their 2 girls. It was a nice visit.

Silly Ryan

Tonight we went to dinner (kids eat free at Lonestar every Tues) We told the kids they could have anything BUT mac and cheese. Who goes to a nice restaurant and gets mac and cheese? We think teh waitress heard us cuz toward the end of our meal RYan asks her "Do you HAVE macanonni and cheese?" She says "nope we are out" and then went to the next table to take orders ect... Prob 5 or so min later she came back and Ry asks her " Did YOU eat all the macanonni and cheese?!"

SOOOOOOO CUTE!

A small miracle

Last week a small miracle took place in our home.

Last Wednesday night we noticed our new baby kitty Captain Jack had not been seen since the previous afternoon. We started looking everywhere for him. 1 am came and went and still no sign so i went to bed.

As Wednesday progressed me and Joe retraced our steps of the previous day. I had spent ALL day painting Tay's room. At one point Joe left on the motorcycle to the video store. Just before he started it the kitten jumped up under the truck. I waited to laugh as he started to bike to see the cat run from under but didn't see him. I figured he had run out the other side where I couldn't see. Just over an hour later Joe left with the kids for their soccer game. I finished my painting and met them there. We came home and went through the motions. After we concluded that it was quite possible that he had stayed under the truck and gone for a ride I admitted defeat and went to bed.

Thursday morning I decided I had better call the animal control for Riverton to see if they had scraped him off the road.... no answer. So I got in the car and drove the way Joe had gone to soccer to see if I saw him off to the side anywhere. No sign. I wasn't encouraged though. The day before I had sent the kids off to look for him around the neighborhood. Maybe he was stuck in a garage.... My friend Emily called to say they had seen a cat on the road. I went and checked it out. It wasn't him but as I drove past not even 24 hrs later looking for Captain Jack the cat from the day before was gone. I went home sad. An hour later animal control called. Said they had not scraped a cat up matching his description but they had received a phone call from a man who had a very scared hungry kitten in their window. She said I should go check it out. I called the man and he said he had a kitten who was black and white and REALLY wanted to get in his house. I raced to his home and followed him to the back yard. There was Captain Jack!!!!!!

He was SOOOOOOO happy to smell me! Here in lies the miracle. We live on 13400 S and 2700 W. He was found on 12600 S and 3400 W!!! 15 blocks away!!! It was rush hour when he took his ride. He should have been squished.

We are so happy to have him back home and know that the Lord was watching out for him and us that day. It may not be much to some but to us it was a great blessing.
