Birthday party and tears

Well I made it! I planned Taylors birthday party in 5 days and kids actually came!

She had a great birthday. The girls made jewelry and pizzas.
Then it was time for gifts. After the gifts the pizzas were ready they ate pizzas and went in the hot tub.

After that it was cake and ice cream time.

Then the tears began.

One of the girl's family has a no sleepover rule. It was very hard for her to not get to sleep over. All the kids were talking about what they were going to do later that night. We had to put a stop to that. Her parents didn't come on time so she began to think they forgot her. She thought for sure she was going to sleep over. But they came and there were more tears. We finally compromised and Maddie was to come back for breakfast. Later that night around midnight one of the girls woke and was sleep walking. When she finally came to she began to cry and really wanted to go home. So I took her home.
The next morning I began to loose my patience. One of the girls peed on my couch in her sleep. Then the same girl and 2 others got in the hot tub when I specifically said no. They did this while the others were running across the circle to the yard sale I told them they couldn't go to. I finally got them all in the house and doing something quiet when the doorbell rang. Our old neighbor was there to collect the things we had been storing for them when they moved. The kids thought it would be a good idea to get in the uhaul truck and they knocked over the grill and broke it!!!!!!! Luckily it was 10 and all the moms started coming. I was done.

Now I am getting ready for 40 or so people to come for Taylors baptism. I just have to keep reminding myself that I am the party queen.....

Alive and slobbery

Well I prayed my heart out about Corde. I still had no answer. The next morning we got a phone call from the vet. She had good news! They had given her some drugs to help relax her intestines and it started what ever was in her stomach to move. She gave Corde a barium treatment to see if and where the obstructions were stuck and they were moving right along with the barium! They got a little stuck in her colon but finally this morning she passed a reg. stool and ate and didn't vomit! She came home this morning and was very glad to be home. She still isn't wanting to eat very much so we will watch that. We feel very blessed and know the Lord had His hand in her recovering so well and not needing surgery. We are happy to have her back.

Good news and bad news

The good news is I went to California to have a break so I could be able to handle the up coming super summer we have going on.
I had the best trip! My best friend Holly (who lived behind us at the old house in West Jordan) moved to Palm Desert(Indio), Ca just a couple weeks after we moved to Riverton last year.
I spent 5 glorious days in the hot sun. It was great! 105 deg weather, palm trees, good food, movies, shopping, parties, meeting new friends, more food, swimming..... need I go on?? I was sad to return and even more so when I got here and it was so cold! I miss the sun and the palm trees and my friend. Oh and no responsibilities the part was nice too.
Now I am home and am planning a short notice b-day party for Tay. We were going to have it June 8th but Zi-hyuns father emailed while I was in Ca to say that her flight will leave that day (so sad!) So having a party that day doesn't really work so well. I can't do it next week because it is her baptism (Sat June 2nd 12600 S 3200 W time ?) then the next week Zi-hyun leaves us (Sad again) the week after that is Katya's birthday and the week after that I will be in Virginia. Do we have enough going on?

Now for the bad news. Corde , our mastiff, has not been eating for a few days. Then yesterday she startled vomiting bile. So today I took her in. They did x-rays and found obstructions in her digestive system. The only way to save her is surgery. $1500 surgery. Its either that or loose her. I am at such a loss as to what to do. The thought of spending that much on a pet makes me sick but the thought of loosing her makes me sick too. Joe says she is my dog so it is my decision as to what to do. I don't want this choice. Either way we loose something of great value and I am a bad guy. I suppose a nights sleep will help. I will decide in the morning.

Year at a glance

Well most people do their yearly letters at Christmas time but we aren't most people.
Last year at this time we were finally settling into our new home in Riverton, Ut. We are loving it out here. We live on a circle so the kids get to play outside alot. Our ward is great and we have many new and old friends around us. The world is so small. We have met so many people with connections to others we know. We love our new home. It is so warm and inviting. It is great for parties which most of you know is good since I am the party queen.

Once we felt settled we decided to add a few luxuries. We got a hot tub (we had to sell the other house. I didn't want to. I got a hot tub :) ) We bought a much needed truck and Joe got a motorcycle. We also got a tent trailer to go camping as a family more often, and I got my dog! She is an English Mastiff and is the sweetest thing on earth. She was a very naughty puppy. She didn't eat shoes. She went for sofas, hot tub covers, gazebos ect... But we love her! She and Chewie (our Sheltie) are good friends.

Summer brou
ght lots of sun and plenty of camping and all the kids birthdays. Taylor got a dirt bike and loves riding it.
Joe got out on his dirt bike a couple times and crashed a bunch. Katya was baptized in July of 06. Anja came to visit from Germany and the 2 of us went to California for 10 days. That was a BLAST!

The girls started at a new school in the fall. They love it and its a great school. They get to ride their bikes to school even! Katya is in 3rd grade and will soon be 9. Taylor is in 2nd grade and will be baptized in 4 weeks! They have grown up so fast. Brynn has been going to Pre-school and loves every minute of it. She is one of the smartest in her class. Ryan is a handful and has been since he could walk. Most of my entries will be about him I am afraid. He is always doing something he shouldn't. Or saying something so dang cute you bust out laughing.
Halloween was fun. They actually got to go Trick-or-Treating with out the fear of being on a busy street! It was so fun! Thanksgiving was up at my sisters in Idaho. Christmas was here at our house as was New Years. See.... party animals!

In January we brought a Korean exchange student into our family. Her name is Zi-hyun Lee. (pronounced gzeehun) She is a great kid and fits right into our family. January left and the promise of Spring was finally in the air.

February marked the 1 year we have been in our home. The end of Feb I had surgery. I got new boobs! It is great feeling and looking like a woman! I am enjoying the fact that clothes fit right and I don't have to wear a bra that is 1" thick of padding. I also cut and dyed my hair. I am a whole new me!

March, Joe and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. We had planned to go on a Mexican cruise but the truck had other ideas and we had to use our Mexico $$ to pay for repairs. We are hoping Oct we can go to Mexico though. Instead we went to Logan and enjoyed all it has to offer. We stayed at the Anniversary Inn. My favorite one by far!

April 24th was my 30th birthday and the birthday of my new niece Madelyn! I am so excited to share my birthday with her and my G-ma as well. What a great day! Joe gave me a trip to see my best friend Holly in Palm Springs!! I can't wait to go!

Well here we are back in May. That was a very condensed version of our year. I will try to post more often.
